Wore this on a windy ridge in 40-degree weather with just a t-shirt underneath and stayed warm the whole way. The synthetic insulation packs down small enough to stuff in my daypack, and the hood actually stays put without cinching it tight.
The hoody does its job as a midlayer under a shell, and the synthetic insulation keeps me warm on chilly morning walks. My only real gripe is the fit — it runs a bit trim through the shoulders, so layering a thick fleece underneath feels tight.
