The waffle knit on this is chunkier than I expected, which I love—it traps heat without feeling bulky under a jacket. Merino wool keeps it from getting clammy on longer walks, and it hasn't pilled after a few washes.
Wore this on a chilly hike last weekend and the waffle knit traps heat way better than my old fleece. The merino is genuinely soft, no itch at all, and it doesn't smell after a full day out.
Wore this on a chilly hike last weekend and the merino kept me warm without getting clammy underneath. Only gripe is the sleeves run a touch long on me. The heavy waffle texture looks great with jeans too.
