    Chloe ★★★★★

The 13-inch length keeps my hand well away from the heat, and the welded steel feels like it'll outlast my oven. Best part is I can lift the lid without knocking ash onto the coals.

That welded steel hook is way sturdier than I expected for an econo model, and it grips the lid lip without any wobble. I can lift the lid to check on coals without knocking ash into the pot, which was the whole reason I bought it. The 13-inch length keeps my hand back from the heat nicely too.

    Michael H. ★★★★☆

Lifting a hot lid off coals used to be a two-glove juggling act for me, but this 13-inch lifter keeps my hand well clear of the heat. Only gripe is the handle could use a bit more grip when my hands are greasy, otherwise it does exactly what it should.
