The fleece inside is genuinely soft, not that stiff stuff you get on cheaper hoodies. The kangaroo pocket is roomy enough for my phone and keys without any bulk, and the hood actually stays up on windy days.
Wore this on a chilly morning hike and it kept me warm without feeling bulky at all. The adjustable hood actually stays put in the wind, which I didn't expect.
