My daughter wore this straight through a cold, windy weekend and never once complained about being chilly. It packs down small enough to stuff in her backpack, and the recycled nylon shell has shrugged off light rain and playground scuffs so far.
Bought this for my son's winter camping trip and the 600-fill down kept him toasty even when the temp dropped below freezing. Only gripe is the shell feels a bit thin for rough play, but it packs down small enough to stuff in his backpack.
Bought this for my 8-year-old and the 600-fill down keeps her warm on chilly morning walks without the bulk of her old parka. The recycled nylon shell has held up fine through a few wash cycles, though the zipper pulls are a little small for her cold hands.
