Wore these for a dawn skin up at 15 degrees and my legs never got that clammy chill you usually feel on the descent. The midweight merino is exactly right for cold mornings, warm on the climb but it breathes instead of cooking you.
The merino wool actually keeps me from overheating on the climb and stays warm once I stop. Midweight is just right for those sub-freezing morning tours.
Wore these for a dawn skin up at 10°F and my legs never got that cold, clammy feeling. The merino really does thermoregulate once you start sweating on the climb, and the midweight fabric is thick enough for lift rides without feeling bulky.
