Bought two pairs for my kid's summer camp and she hasn't complained once, which says a lot. The dolphin hem gives her plenty of room to run and climb without the shorts riding up.

My daughter wears these almost every day now, and the dolphin hem really does let her run and climb without them riding up. They're thin enough to layer over leggings on chilly mornings but still look neat on their own.

The dolphin hem does make it easier for my daughter to move around, but the fabric feels thinner than I hoped and she already snagged it on the playground. Fine for a basic pair of shorts, just not sure how long they'll last.
