Wore this on a windy hike and it kept me warm without turning into a sweatbox on the climb. The fleece is softer than I expected for something this technical, and it layers under a shell without bunching at the shoulders.
The hollow-core fleece really does feel warmer than my old midlayer without the bulk. I've worn it on two chilly morning hikes already and it breathes well enough that I'm not sweating on the climb.
Wore this fleece under a shell on a windy ridge hike and it kept me warm without overheating on the climbs. The hollow-core fibre really does trap heat while the fabric stays soft against the skin. Genuinely the most breathable midlayer I've owned.
