My son wears these on the gravel path behind our house and the cushioning really does soak up the bumps. The stable ride is what sold me—he's not wobbling on uneven ground like he did in his old pair.
Took these on a weekend trail with my daughter and the max cushioning really soaked up the gravel bits without feeling mushy on the sidewalk stretches. She said the ride felt smooth and stable the whole way, no complaints about her feet after two hours.
My son usually complains about his feet hurting after school runs, but with the max-cushion platform on these he hasn't mentioned it once. They've held up great on gravel paths too, which surprised me since they feel like road shoes.
