Wore these on a rocky six-mile trail and barely noticed the weight — the mid cut gives decent ankle support without feeling clunky. The cushioning held up all day too, which I honestly wasn't expecting from a day-hiker.
These stayed dry through a full afternoon of drizzle and puddle splashing, which is exactly what I bought them for. The mid cut gives my ankles decent support without feeling stiff, and the cushioning held up over six hours on the trail.
Wore these on a muddy 8-mile day hike and my feet stayed dry the whole time, even crossing a few shallow streams. The cushioning is balanced enough for all-day wear, though the ankle collar took a couple of hikes to stop rubbing. Solid lightweight hiker overall.
