Wore this as a mid-layer under a shell on a chilly morning hike and it was perfect — warm without the bulk. The 1/4 zip vents fast when you start moving, and it's held up through several washes with no pilling.
The grid texture actually does something—it traps warmth without the bulk, so I've been wearing this instead of a sweater on cool mornings. The 1/4 zip vents nicely when I'm moving, and the streamlined cut doesn't bunch up under a jacket.
Wore this grid fleece under a shell on a windy hike and it breathed way better than my old sweater. The 1/4 zip is handy for dumping heat fast, and the recycled fabric feels surprisingly soft, not scratchy at all.
