The waffle knit is stretchy enough that it doesn't squeeze my head, but it still blocks the wind on my walk to the train. The little woven pinecone on the side is a nice subtle touch too.
Kept my ears warm on a chilly morning walk and the waffle knit doesn't feel bulky under a hood. Only thing is it's a bit thinner than I expected, but it still does the job for mild winter days.
Wore this on a windy ridge hike and it kept my ears warm without feeling bulky under a hood. The waffle knit is light enough that I forgot I had it on, though I do wish the cuff had a bit more grip. The little pinecone logo is a nice subtle touch.
