Took these on a muddy weekend hike and my daughter's feet stayed completely dry the whole time. The waterproof mid-cut design gives her ankle support she didn't have in her old low shoes, and the adjustments are easy for her to tighten herself.
My son has wide feet and the mid-cut collar keeps grit out on muddy trails without rubbing his ankles. The waterproofing held up through a whole wet weekend at camp, and the practical adjustments make them easy for him to tighten himself.
Bought these for my 11-year-old before a weekend hiking trip and the mid-cut collar gave him way better ankle support than his old low runners. The waterproofing held up through a muddy creek crossing, and the quick-lace adjustments meant he could tighten them himself without me kneeling down.
