Wore this as a mid layer under my shell on a cold, damp morning and it kept me comfortable the whole climb. The hood fits snugly under a helmet without bunching, which is exactly what I needed on the exposed sections.
Took this on a windy ridge hike and it held up way better than I expected as an outer layer. The hood actually stays put when you're moving, which is rare for a mid layer. Packs down small enough to stuff in my pack without thinking twice.
Wore this as a mid layer under my shell on a cold, windy ridge and it did exactly what I needed, no bunching or cold spots. The hood fits snugly under a helmet too, which I wasn't expecting to matter as much as it did.
