The fiberglass shaft keeps the whole thing light enough that my shoulders don't ache after two hours of flatwater paddling. The blades bite cleanly with barely any flutter, which I didn't expect at this price.
Took it out on a calm lake this weekend and the lightweight feel made a huge difference over my old paddle. The fiberglass blades cut through the water smoothly and the whole thing barely weighs anything on long stretches.
The fiberglass shaft feels noticeably lighter than my old aluminum paddle, and after two hours on the lake my shoulders weren't complaining at all. The blades catch the water cleanly on flatwater, no flutter even when I pick up the pace.
