Took this on a 9-mile ridge trail and the 16L size was just right — room for a layer, snacks, and my phone in the front pocket without the pack bouncing. The bite valve flows well and I barely had to think about drinking, which is exactly what I want on climbs.

Took it on a six-mile loop and the 2L reservoir was plenty for the whole morning. The 16L size fits a layer, snacks, and a first aid kit without feeling bulky, though the bite valve takes a bit of getting used to.

The 2L reservoir is easy to fill and the bite valve works fine, but the pack itself rides a little high on my shoulders no matter how I adjust the straps. Storage is decent for a day hike, though the side pockets are tight for a bigger bottle.
