Wore these on a hike and then straight to a bar without changing — the stretch in the canvas makes that possible. Organic cotton actually feels broken in from day one, not stiff like other canvas pants I've owned.
The gusseted inseam is the detail that sold me — I can actually squat down to tie my boots without the crotch pulling tight. The touch of spandex gives just enough stretch, and the organic cotton canvas feels broken-in after a couple of washes.
I've worn these canvas pants on three camping trips now and the gusseted inseam really does make climbing over rocks way easier. The organic cotton has that stiff, sturdy feel at first but softens up after a couple washes.
