The microfleece is genuinely soft against the skin, not scratchy like some cheap fleeces I've had. I've been wearing it as a mid-layer under my shell on cold morning hikes and it traps warmth without bulk.
Wore this under my rain shell on a windy hike and it kept me warm without overheating. The microfleece layers nicely without bunching up under the jacket.
The microfleece is softer than I expected and it layers perfectly under my rain shell on cold morning hikes. Wore it three days straight on a trip and it barely held any smell.
