Packed this into a stuff sack the size of my fist for a chilly morning hike and barely noticed the weight in my running vest. The insulation kept the edge off the wind without turning into a sweatbox on the climbs.
The hoody packs down to about the size of my fist, which is exactly what I wanted for chilly morning runs. It blocks wind well on the ridges, though I do wish the hood had a bit more adjustment when it's really gusting.
The hood is nicely fitted and the insulation keeps the chill off on windy runs. For the price though, I expected the fabric to feel a bit more substantial—it's very thin, and I'm not sure how it'll hold up to regular wear.
