The fleece side is so soft against my son's cheeks that I flip it inward on chilly mornings, and the full zip makes diaper changes way less of a wrestling match. Nice that one jacket handles both the car seat dash and the playground.
The water-repellent side got us through a soggy playground morning without a single wet patch underneath. My son runs hot, so the fleece side is perfect for milder days.
