Packs down to almost nothing in my daypack, yet the wind-resistant fabric really does block gusts on exposed ridgelines. The mini ripstop has a surprisingly soft, dry feel for how thin it is.
The ripstop fabric has held up great against brush and rock scrapes, and it stuffs down small enough to forget it's in my pack until the wind picks up. Soft, dry feel too, not that plasticky crinkle some shells have.
Wore this on a breezy ridge hike and it cut the wind completely without feeling clammy. The mini ripstop fabric is tougher than it looks, and it stuffs into my pack pocket easily.
