The rim seals tight around my cockpit with no gaps, and I stayed dry through a solid hour of paddle splashes. Getting it stretched over the coaming took a little muscle the first time, but it loosened up after that.
Took it out on a choppy lake last weekend and stayed completely dry through the splashes. The rim seals tight enough that I barely had to adjust it after the first paddle stroke. Pulling it over the coaming takes a bit of muscle, but that's exactly what I wanted.
Took it out on a choppy lake day and it kept most of the splashes out, though a little water still crept in around the edges after a couple hours. The close fit on my Perception cockpit is decent, but getting the rim seated takes some muscle.
