Wore these straight out of the box for a 10-mile rocky loop and my feet never once felt beat up. The injected DuraPU midsole soaks up the descents way better than my old pair, and the ankle support on scree was solid.
The PU MONOWRAP frame really does keep my ankles from rolling on uneven ground, which was my biggest worry after twisting one last season. They felt stiff for the first couple miles, but once the injected midsole broke in they were solid on loose gravel.
Wore these on a muddy 8-mile ridge trail and the PU MONOWRAP frame kept my ankles locked in on the rocky descents. The injected midsole is stiff at first but breaks in after a few hikes.
