Wore this under my rain shell on a soggy hike last weekend and stayed completely dry and toasty. The down packs down small enough to stuff in my daypack, which I didn't expect.
Keeps me warm on chilly morning commutes and layers fine under my rain shell. Only thing is the down compresses a bit much when I stuff it in a pack, but that's the tradeoff for how light it is.
The down fill is genuinely warm and it packs down small enough to stuff in a daypack. But the fit runs boxy through the shoulders, so it doesn't layer neatly under a shell without bunching up. Decent for the price, just not the trim cut I was hoping for.
