Wore these through three days of rain and mud on a backcountry trip and my feet stayed completely dry the whole time. The grip on wet rock was solid and the Gore-Tex lining actually breathes better than I expected.
The 4D chassis really does keep your ankle steady on uneven rocky ground, which I noticed right away on a scree-heavy descent. GORE-TEX held up fine in shallow stream crossings too. Best boot I've owned in years.
