The clamshell design is what sold me—I can lay it flat and see all my headlamps and small tools at once instead of digging. The zippered mesh dividers keep things from sliding around in my duffel. Six liters ended up being the perfect size for my gear pouch.
Took this on a five-day backcountry trip and the mesh dividers kept my headlamp and multitool from tangling with everything else. The 6L size is just right for stuffing into the top of a pack without eating up space.
The clamshell opening on this is genius — I can lay it flat on the bed and pack my headlamp, multi-tool, and spare batteries in the two mesh divider sections without everything shifting around. Six liters holds way more than I expected, and it still slides neatly into the top of my pack.
