Wore it on the lift all morning and the microfleece stayed soft against my chin without getting sweaty. It's thin enough to stuff in a jacket pocket but still blocks the wind.
Kept this in my jacket pocket for a cold trailhead start and the microfleece is genuinely soft against my neck, no itch at all. Only gripe is it's a bit thin on really windy days, but for the weight it packs it's a fair trade.
