The height extension clicks right onto the extender in the vertical position and lines up perfectly with the roofline of my truck now. My 16-foot kayak sits level instead of nose-up, and strapping it down takes half the time.
Loading my 14-footer solo used to mean tilting it up at a scary angle, but this extension levels the bar out so the bow rests flat instead of hanging past the cab. It clips onto the vertical position in seconds and the adjustable height lined up with my tailgate on the first try.
Securing the extension in the vertical position was easier than I expected, and it adjusted right to the height of my truck cab. Loading my 12-foot kayak now feels way more stable with the extra support up top.
