Took this on a week-long trip with just a carry-on and it slid into the overhead bin without a fight. The wheels roll smooth over airport floors and the rugged fabric held up fine getting tossed around.
The split-case design is what sold me — I can open just the top half for a quick overnight and not unzip the whole thing in a cramped hotel room. The wheels roll smooth over tile and gravel both, and it still slid into the overhead bin without a fight.
Packed this for a four-day work trip and it fit in the overhead bin with room to spare. The split-case design makes it easy to grab my laptop without unpacking everything, and the wheels roll smooth even on cobblestone.
