Wore this under a shell on a windy ridge and it disappeared under the straps — no bunching at all. The stretch polyester moves with you instead of fighting your arms, and the fixed hood actually stays put when it's up.
The PrimaLoft insulation is warmer than the thin profile suggests — I've worn it as a standalone on chilly dry days and it holds heat fine. Packs down small enough to stuff in my pack, and the stretch fabric doesn't fight me when I layer a shell over it.
Wore this under a hardshell on a wet, windy hike and it stayed surprisingly warm for how thin it packs down. The stretch fabric moves with you instead of bunching at the shoulders. Only gripe is the hood fits a bit snug over a beanie.
