Wore these straight out of the box on a muddy day hike and the GTX lining kept my feet completely dry through soggy grass and a shallow creek crossing. The mid height gives nice ankle support without feeling stiff.

The Earth Tones colorway looks way better in person than on screen, and I've worn them around town plenty without feeling like I'm clomping around in clunky boots. Only gripe is the ankle collar took a few days to soften up, but the mid-height support is worth it on rocky day hikes.
