Took these out on a windy lake day and the stern bags stayed snug against the center pillar the whole paddle. The long narrow cut leaves plenty of room for gear behind the seat, which I didn't expect.
These fit perfectly on either side of my center pillar and the long narrow shape doesn't crowd the cockpit at all. Pumped them up before a trip and my stern sat noticeably higher in the chop.
The long narrow shape actually slides past the center support pillar without bunching up, which was my main worry. They hold air fine overnight and the valves haven't leaked yet, though I wish the pair came with a simple pump adapter.
