Slept on this three nights in the Rockies and the StrataCore construction actually kept my hips off the ground, which never happened with my old pad. The 3D shape makes it feel more like a mattress than a camping pad.
I was skeptical about the price but the StrataCore construction really does keep my hips from sinking through the night. The 3D shape gives me actual edges to sleep inside instead of rolling off a flat rectangle.
Slept on this for five nights on rocky ground and never once felt a stone through it. The StrataCore construction really does keep the surface flat and stable when you roll over, and the 3D shape means my feet didn't slide off the edge like they did on my old pad.
