My son usually complains about scratchy waistbands but he hasn't touched these once. The brushed fleece inside is genuinely soft, and after a dozen washes the cotton-kapok blend hasn't pilled or thinned out at all.
These survived two weeks of camp, daily bike rides, and a few spills, and they still look almost new. The brushed fleece inside feels really soft, but the kapok blend makes them tough enough that I'm not worried about holes in the knees.
