Wore these on a rocky scramble last weekend and the 9-inch length kept my knees from getting scraped up while the streamlined fit never snagged on brush. They're light enough that I honestly forgot I had them on until the hike was over.
These are now my go-to for morning runs — the 9" length hits right above the knee and doesn't ride up. The streamlined fit keeps things from flapping around, which I didn't expect to notice as much as I do.
Wore these on a rocky scramble and the 9" length kept my knees from getting scraped up while the streamlined fit never snagged on brush. They dry fast too, which saved me after a creek crossing.
