Kelty footprints extend the life of your tent's floor by protecting it from rough or abrasive surfaces. Please note - Kelty footprints are sized smaller than the tent floor to be sure there is no exposed footprint fabric to collect water during wet weather.
Fits my tent floor nicely and the edges stay tucked under, which is what I wanted. Only wish it came in a stuff sack instead of just folded flat, but it's held up fine on gravel so far.
Pitched it under the tent on a rocky site and the floor came home without a scratch. It's cut a bit smaller than the floor, which bugged me at first until I realized it keeps rain from pooling under the edges.
It does the job protecting the tent floor from rocks and dirt, but the sizing caught me off guard — it's noticeably smaller than the tent floor itself. I get that it's intentional, yet the corners still let a little ground contact through.
