Forecast calling for cold? Time to get after it in the Highlander Hoody. We added a full-coverage hood to our classic down puffer for extra warmth and versatility in this coffee-shop-cool insulated jacket. 700-fill-power down packs tons of heat on and off the mountain, then stuffs into its own pocket for easy-stuffing storage when things warm up — pull the hood over a helmet while belaying or when the wind kicks up waiting on the gondola.
Wore this on a windy 30-degree morning walk and the full-coverage hood actually stayed put instead of blowing back like most do. It's puffy without feeling bulky, and warm enough that I didn't need a scarf.
The full-coverage hood on this puffer hoody is genuinely warm and blocks the wind on my walk to the coffee shop. Only gripe is it runs a little bulky under a coat, but on its own it's my new go-to for chilly days.
The full-coverage hood on this puffer really does keep the wind off my ears on morning walks, and it's warmer than I expected for how light it feels. Only gripe is the sleeves run a touch long on me, but I just push them up and it's fine.
