Used these to tension a tarp over my firewood pile and the slide lock grabbed the rope without slipping at all. No knots to fiddle with, which is the whole reason I bought them.
The cast aluminum body feels way sturdier than the plastic tighteners I've broken before, and the SlideLock grabs the line without any knot tying. I set up a clothesline in about two minutes and it hasn't slipped once.
Used these to tension a tarp over my firewood pile and the cast aluminum build feels solid, not flimsy like the plastic ones I've snapped before. The SlideLock grabs the rope without any knot, so setup took about a minute per corner.
