My son wore these alone on a mild spring day and didn't complain once about itchiness, which is a first with any long underwear. The interlocking knit is soft enough that he actually asks to put them on. They fit true to size under his school pants too.
The interlocking knit is genuinely soft—my son didn't complain about itchiness once, which is a first for wool. It fit true to size and kept him warm on our chilly morning walk, both under his pants and on its own.
My daughter wore these alone on a mild 60-degree day and didn't complain once — the soft interlocking knit really does feel gentle against her skin. They've held up great after three washes so far, no pilling or loose threads.
