The Yakima 9mm Skewer is a simple, reliable replacement skewer designed for use with non-locking accessories on your bike rack. It offers a straightforward solution for securing your gear, keeping your setup functional and ready for the road.
My old skewer was rattling on bumpy roads and this one fit snug with no play at all. It's just a simple non-locking skewer but the threads feel solid and it holds my bike steady on the rack.
Swapped this onto my rack for a non-locking tray and it threaded on cleanly the first try. The 9mm fit is spot on and the lever clamps down firm with no wobble at highway speed.
Swapped this onto my hitch rack for a non-locking tray and it threaded on cleanly with no wobble on the first try. Only gripe is I wish the lever were a touch longer for more grip when tightening. Solid, simple replacement that does exactly what it should.
