These have become my go-to for wet, rooty singletrack — the cushioning stays energetic even on long descents and the rock plate saved my feet from more than one sharp stone. Fit runs true and snug through the midfoot without pinching. Genuinely light for how much protection you get.
The toe bumper actually saved me on a rocky descent last weekend, and the cushioning still felt springy on mile 12. Wide toe box took a day to get used to but now I don't want to run trails in anything else.
Ran a rocky 10-miler in these and the cushioning stayed springy the whole way, no dead feeling underfoot. Fit runs true to size but a touch narrow through the midfoot, so try before you commit if you've got wide feet.
