Wore these on a muddy, root-covered trail and the GORE-TEX kept my feet completely dry through a stream crossing. The ballistic mesh upper breathes way better than my old leather hikers, no sweaty socks even on the climb.
The Vibram grip on wet granite was the surprise — I expected slippage and got none at all. Two full days of hiking and my feet stayed dry through stream crossings thanks to the GORE-TEX lining.
These handled a muddy, rocky trail way better than I expected—the Vibram Megagrip sole barely slipped even on wet roots. My feet stayed completely dry through a shallow creek crossing thanks to the GORE-TEX lining.
