Wore this under a jacket on a windy 35-degree morning and stayed surprisingly warm without feeling bulky. The brushed flannel is really soft right out of the package, and the insulation doesn't add that puffy bulk I was worried about.
The Thermogreen insulation is thin but seriously warm — I've been fine in this over just a henley on cold morning walks. The brushed cotton feels soft right out of the bag, no stiff break-in period at all.
Wore this over a t-shirt on a windy 45-degree morning and the 80g insulation was plenty without feeling bulky. The brushed flannel is genuinely soft, not that stiff scratchy stuff, and it's already broken in after a couple washes.
