The pun on the packaging got me, but the socks actually hold up—lightweight enough for summer sneakers yet no slipping down at the heel. Wore them on a six-mile walk and forgot I had them on.
The "Mother Clucker" pun got a genuine laugh out of me, and the lightweight knit is actually comfortable for all-day wear instead of just being a novelty. Washed them a few times now and they haven't shrunk or gotten fuzzy.
Bought these for around-the-house wear and the lightweight knit keeps my feet from getting sweaty under slippers. Only gripe is the cuff loosened a bit after a few washes, but the pun still makes me smile every time I dig them out of the drawer.
