Wore this on a windy ridge hike with a loaded pack and barely felt the gusts. The wrap-around back panel sits smooth under the straps instead of bunching up, which I didn't expect to notice but definitely did.
The back panel really does make a difference when I'm wearing a pack — no bunching or rubbing on the climb up. The wind resistance is solid too, I stayed comfortable on an exposed stretch where my old soft shell would've let the gusts right through.
Wore this on a windy ridge hike and it blocked the gusts way better than I expected for something this light. The wrap-around back panel really does sit nicer under a pack. Only gripe is the neck seams felt a bit stiff the first couple wears, but they've softened up.
