Wore these straight out of the box for a muddy 6-mile loop and the heel flex made them effortless to kick on at the trailhead. Slip-on without the sloppy feel — they stay put on descents.
The slip-on design with that flexing heel is genuinely handy after a long day on the trails — they slide right on without me having to untie anything. Took them on a rocky hike last weekend and they stayed comfortable the whole way.
The heel really does flex and snap back so I can shove these on without untying anything, which is great when I'm juggling gear at the trailhead. Grip is solid on loose dirt, though I wish the collar had a touch more padding for longer days.
