The flexible collar on these is such an upgrade — no more rubbing on my ankles when I pick up the pace on rocky descents. And the Megagrip sole really does bite into wet roots and mud.
I've been running muddy, rooty singletrack in these for a couple weeks and the GORE-TEX membrane really does keep my feet dry through shallow creek crossings. The new collar is way more flexible than I expected—it doesn't chew at my ankle on long climbs like my old pair did.
