Wore this vest over a hoodie on a windy 45-degree hike and stayed comfortable the whole time without overheating. The fleece lining feels soft against a t-shirt, and the outer fabric has held up fine through brush and a couple of washes.
The ALFPACA GOLD fleece is genuinely as soft as everyone says — I've worn it over a t-shirt on chilly morning walks and it blocks the wind better than I expected. Packs down small enough to stuff in my bag, too.
The fleece lining is genuinely soft, not that scratchy stuff you get on cheaper vests. Only gripe is the pockets sit a bit high for my hands, but the warmth on cool mornings makes up for it.
