Wore this on a full day of hiking in direct sun and stayed surprisingly dry the whole time. The UV protection actually held up, and it packs down to almost nothing in my bag.
The ripstop fabric is way lighter than I expected, and it actually blocks the sun without feeling like plastic. I've washed it four times already and it hasn't pilled or faded.
Wore this on a week of 95-degree hikes and it stayed dry the whole time — the ripstop fabric is so light I kept checking I actually had it on. The UV protection is a real bonus for long days outside.
