Wasn't sure four separate bags would be worth the hassle, but having bow and stern sets means each end fits snug against the pillar instead of one bulky bag sliding around. The narrow shape tucks right along the sides so I barely notice them until I'm loading gear.
Pumped these up and my kayak sat noticeably higher in the water on a choppy lake day. The narrow shape tucks perfectly beside the center pillar without crowding my legs, and having bow and stern bags in one set meant I didn't have to piece anything together.
The four bags slid right in on either side of the center pillar and the bow pair cleared my foot area without any rubbing. Pumped them up and my kayak sits noticeably higher in the chop now.
